Cascadia Media Lab at Northwest Folklife: Elevating Community Stories Through Live Broadcast

Seattle, WA - This year, Cascadia Media Lab was proud to support the Northwest Folklife Festival through our Creative Consultancy program — a partnership that brought together community storytelling, live production, and the vibrant cultural energy that defines the Pacific Northwest.

Over four days of music, dance, dialogue, and celebration, our team produced daily livestream broadcasts, capturing the heart of the festival and making it accessible to audiences across the region and beyond. From intimate performances to bustling outdoor stages, we worked to ensure that the creativity and cultural traditions showcased at Folklife reached viewers wherever they were.

But livestreaming was only the beginning.

Our Creative Consultancy team also crafted highlight reels, short-form clips, and social-ready content that amplified the festival’s spirit long after each day wrapped. These pieces helped Northwest Folklife share the stories of its artists, culture-bearers, and community partners in dynamic, visually compelling ways — strengthening engagement and extending the festival’s reach across digital platforms.
